Lab

Laboratory of Signal Processing for Audio and Communications

Description

The research developed at the Laboratory of Signal Processing for Audio and Wireless Communications is mainly focused in projects related to the digital processing of audio and wireless communication signals. To record and process both types of signals, the laboratory has relevant professional equipments described below.

Services: Multi-channel digital recording and rendering of audio signals in an acoustically conditioned room - Identification and post-processing of interior noise inside buildings or vehicles - Identification and post-processing of environmental noise – Performance evaluation of Active Noise Control systems- Sound quality evaluation of perceived noises, including own-developed software to carry out jury tests - Human-machine interfaces based on sounds - Human-machine interfaces for audio applications – Performance evaluation of signal processing algorithms implemented in multi-core and many-core processing units.
