BioI completed my BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Shiraz University in Iran in 2006. Later on in 2012, I received my PhD degree in the same field from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Afterwards, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the US and Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. In my research career, I have mainly focused on Space Division Multiplexing and particularly have investigated the applications of nonlinear effects in multicore and multimode fibers and few-mode silicon nitride waveguides. For this means, I have gained experience in designing few-mode fibers and waveguides with specific dispersion and nonlinear properties. I have also worked on modeling the formation and dynamics of dark pulse Kerr combs in normal dispersion microresonators. In Nov. 2019, I joined the iTEAM Research Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain, where I will continue my research in Space-Division Multiplexing and look into its application in fiber-wireless communications.
