BioLuis holds a B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla, Spain. He received his Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), in Montréal, Canada, in 2018, where he graduated with the highest honors, receiving the best Ph.D. thesis award, as well as innovation and international recognition awards. During 2019, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at INRS, conducting research on the fields of ultrafast energy-efficient classical and quantum optical signal generation, processing and characterization, optical frequency combs and microwave photonics. He has worked closely with international industrial and academic partners, resulting in his participation in over 10 research projects in Canada and Europe, the publication of over 35 works in international peer-reviewed journals, his contribution to over 65 international conferences, as well as the filing of 4 international patents. Luis joined the Photonics Research Labs in 2020, becoming a Juan de la Cierva grantee in 2021. His current research interests include, among others, optical signal processing, integrated photonics, microwave photonics, and quantum optics. Research Works |
